What is the International Monobob Club (IMBC)?
The IMBC is the world’s first club dedicated to the promoting and racing the Monobob. We are a club of amateurs who enjoy the thrills and beauty of this exhilarating winter sport. Membership of the IMBC includes a series of benefits such as:
Access to IMBC’s Monobobs for training runs as well as races
No rental fee for Monobobs otherwise rented from the OBR
Entry into IMBC races including The President’s Cup
Attendance at the IMBC’s Annual General Meeting
Promotion of the Monobob sport

What is a Monobob?
A monobob is one-man sled (similar to its 4-person and 2-person predecessor, a “Bobsled”) which is pushed, piloted and braked all by one individual. You can learn more about the history of the Monobob and how the founding members of the IMBC conceived of its design here.
How can I learn to ride a Monobob? How can I get a Monobob license?
In order to Ride a Monobob you have to get your Monobob License. You can get this by taking part in one of the Monobob Schools that takes place several times a year. Details about Monobob Schools can be found here.
If you are unable to partake in a Monobob School, you are able to ride in a 4-person Bob as part of a Taxi Ride.
What are the benefits of being an IMBC member?
The IMBC is a vibrant community of individuals who are passionate about training and racing Monobobs as well as other winter sports. As an IMBC member you benefit from:

How can I apply to be an IMBC member?
You can apply for membership online by submitting an application form or by contacting one of our committee members. Once you have submitted the online form, the committee will review your application and get back to you.
How much is the IMBC Membership?
The yearly membership fees are as follows:
Rider Member: for IMBC members who would like to ride the annual dues are CHF 100.—
Supporter Member: for everyone who would like to support the IMBC we welcome you to join as a Supporter Member. Annual dues are CHF 80.— but you are welcome to contribute more to support the club.

What are the requirements to take part in a Monobob race?
You must have completed 2 practice runs at the Olympia Bob Run 6 days prior to the day of the race.
You must sign up for the race on the Olympia Bob Run’s website by 12:00 noon the day before the race.
How can I take part in Monobob practice runs?
You can sign up for practice via the Olympia Bob Run’s website by 16:00 the day before the practice.
How can I reserve to use one of the IMBC’s Monobobs?
The IMBC’s Monobobs are provided on a first-come first-serve basis. Once you are an IMBC Member, the IMBC Monobobs will appear in the Bob Reservation list.
During practice sessions an IMBC Monobob may be shared by up to three pilots depending on the availability and compatibility of the format with the number of people practicing that day.
I am an IMBC Member and have paid my annual dues but cannot see the IMBC Monobobs on the Bob Reservation List.
Please get in touch with the Olympia Bob Run and let them know that you are an IMBC Member. They will update your Olympia Bob Run profile so that you can reserve the club’s bobs.
